As both Creative Director and 3D Artist, I developed this image to celebrate classic kitchen design through a clean, timeless lens. The brief called for a bright, aspirational interior that blended traditional cabinetry with modern finishes, creating an atmosphere of refined comfort and lasting appeal. The scene was constructed to emphasize architectural symmetry and soft daylight, guiding the viewer’s eye through the layout from the central prep space to the rear dining area. Every element, from the shaker doors and chrome hardware to the panelled crown mouldings, was faithfully recreated to reflect the client's product details with commercial accuracy. A key technical challenge in this project was achieving natural-looking daylight penetration deep into the space without compromising realism or performance. I used a carefully tuned global illumination setup to simulate soft, indirect bounce lighting across multiple architectural layers, while optimizing render times through strategic light caching, portal use, and geometry instancing. A light tonal palette and nuanced material selection helped strike the balance between warmth and elegance. Particular care was taken with surface interactions like the subtle reflection of light on marble countertops, the slight texture of hand-painted cabinetry, and the tactile quality of the limestone flooring. This image has been used in brochures, advertising, and online configurators, supporting the brand’s heritage positioning while offering a fresh take on traditional craftsmanship through high-end CGI.
